Spritz & Balloon Glasses at Glassware UK
A balloon glass, also called a copa, has a large rounded bowl with room for plenty of ice, a generous pour of mixer and a slice of fruit. The big bowl keeps drinks colder for longer and traps the aromas of botanicals, which is why it has become the go-to glass for an Aperol spritz and a gin and tonic.
Shop Primeur and Reserva balloon glasses, the 815ml Stolzle Berlin cocktail balloon, the Connoisseur and Bistro gin glasses and stemless Hayworth glasses, singly or in sets. See our full range of gin glasses and cocktail glasses.
How to serve the perfect spritz
Fill a 550ml to 800ml balloon glass with ice, add three parts prosecco, two parts Aperol and a splash of soda, then garnish with an orange slice. The same glass works for a Hugo spritz, a wine spritzer or a long gin and tonic. Read Which Glass for Which Drink? for more serving ideas.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a balloon glass and a gin glass?
They are essentially the same shape. 'Copa' and 'balloon' describe the large rounded bowl, which is used for gin and tonic, spritzes and other long drinks over ice.
What size should a spritz glass be?
Choose 550ml or more so there is room for ice, mixer and garnish without the glass overflowing.
Are spritz glasses dishwasher safe?
Many of our spritz glasses are dishwasher safe, and the care details are listed on each product page. For crystal, cut, gold-rimmed or decorated pieces we recommend hand washing in warm, soapy water.
How quickly will my order arrive?
In-stock orders are dispatched from our UK warehouse, with DPD next-day and InPost 2-day delivery available at checkout. UK delivery is free on orders over £50.
