General suggestions valid for all categories of products:
- All of the various types of glass that we use for our products are professional dishwasher and glass-washer safe, always placing them in the appropriate basket to avoid bumping and scratching during wash cycles.
- For bulkier objects, like decanters, carafes and bottles, we recommend hand washing, to guarantee perfect interior cleaning.
Our accessories, such as stoppers, capsules and lids are not dishwasher safe, we recommend washing by hand without detergent. - Before putting the products in the dishwasher or in the glasswasher it is advisable to rinse them with lukewarm water to eliminate any residue of food and beverages.
- Recommended dishwasher temperature is max 60° C / 140° F with a rinse cycle of max 65° C / 149° F with a wash duration of 60 / 120 seconds.
- Use mild detergents. Rinse agents should be measured with care: too much in the wash cycle produces irreversible iridescence on the surface of the glass; too little creates water marks on the bulb.
- The hardness of the water suggested for the wash is optimal between 5°f and 15°f (French Grades), which corresponds to 5°d and 18°d (German Grades), adjusting the setting of the water softener in the dishwasher.
- At the end of the wash cycle, open the dishwasher door and leave it partially open for 5-10 minutes, to allow steam to escape and avoid unsightly marks left on the glass by condensation.
- If products are not tempered, avoid sudden thermal shocks, once the cycle has terminated, allow glasses to cool before filling them with ice or chilled beverages. Do not put hot items on cold surfaces such as steel or marble.
- To maintain the natural brilliance and transparency of glass, it is recommended that products are dried with a microfiber cloth before storing them in a cupboard.
- Dry the glasses with a microfiber cloth. When drying the glass, hold it by the bowl and not by the stem or foot, to avoid twisting movements, that are among the most frequent causes of breakage.
- For optimal dishwasher performance, suggested manufacturer maintenance must be scrupulously followed, carrying out periodic cycles using specific products and periodic cleaning of the filters and dishwasher components.
- Do not use stems, tumblers, decanters and carafes in the oven, microwave oven and do not fill them with hot drinks, as they are not specific for this type of use, except for toughened articles.
